Fish House opened in December 2016 with the ambition of serving the best wild-caught Mediterranean fish and seafood in a friendly, elegant atmosphere. Using top quality, seasonal ingredients, our dishes are simple, fresh and unique. The vitrine is replenished every other day and our team is ready to suggest a preparation method and accompanying wine that suits your taste.
Our restaurant is the realization of Chef Zoran’s love for fresh fish and seafood. Zoki, as we call him, was born in Rijeka, a coastal city in northern Croatia, located a few minutes drive from the world-famous truffle peninsula, Istria. With his mother running the town’s local fish market, Zoran’s upbringing has been all about Mediterranean culinary treats and wines and, most importantly, Croatia’s magnificent freshly-caught fish and seafood.
Having put on his first professional apron when he was only 14 years old and with his talent being heard from overseas, Zoran first moved to Bucharest in 2012 as Head Chef of one of the city’s top restaurants. He has since continued taking over the kitchens of some of the best restaurants in town, enchanting even the most exigent clientele. Right before co-founding Fish House, Zoki spent a few months training in the kitchens of some of London’s top 2 star Michelin restaurants.
Having seen Zoki’s dedication and talent throughout their long years of friendship, Vik Salic and Jan van Groningen decided to join the Fish House adventure in 2017. The partners are usually around and ready to accommodate any request!
